Kochi: The Common Admission Test 2016 held in various centres across the country on 4 December 2016 was a moderate paper according to students. Students opined that the paper was attemptable.CAT 2016 for admission to IIMs in the country was conducted online in two slots and around 2 lakh students appeared for the exam.
According to Ramnath K, Course Director, TIME, Hyderabad, the paper followed same pattern of last year. So, most of the candidates find it easy to attempt. The first two sections were comparatively easy, ie Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal and Reading Comprehension.This helped the candidates to get a good start.” However, he added that most of the students found Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning sections difficult. It is learnt that, some girl students could not take the exam as they had mehandi on their hands.They were unable to register their finger print on digital finger print scanner.The instructions were already given to the candidates regarding this.Though the candidates were allowed to wear open footwear, in some centres, footwears of all the candidates were kept outside of the exam hall.
